You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest. To cast one of these druid spells, you must expend a slot of the spell’s level or higher. The Druid table shows how many spell slots you have to cast your spells of 1st level and higher. I just rechecked my PHB, and I think my terminology is correct:

The level 1 Domain spells for a Life Domain are Bless and Cure Wounds, so a level 1 Life Cleric with 18/4 WIS can have as many as 7 spells prepared. The last thing to look out for is that your Cleric Domain will give you 2 spells per spell level that are always prepared, and do not count against your maximum of 5. That means I can prepare Bane, Healing Word, Command, Sanctuary and Shield of Faith, then I can cast Bane twice, or Healing Word twice, or Sanctuary once and Command once, and every other combination, but I cannot cast Inflict Wounds unless I take a long rest and change my list of prepared spells. I can then cast any combination of the 5 spells, using my spell slots. Out of the 15, I will pick 5 spells to prepare. The number of spell slots you have is a flat number based on level. Preparing a spell means you can cast the spell by using one of your spell slots on it. For a level 1 Cleric with 18 WIS (4 modifier), that's 5 spells.
